Three Ways to Create High-Converting Content

You Too, Can Create Great Content. Read On!

Most business owners don’t like to write. It’s a fact I can hardly believe, but it’s a fact nonetheless. So, for all you business owners out there looking for some encouragement: you’re not alone. And, you’re in luck!

Here are three ideas you can implement that will help you create fun, snappy content but also help you convert readers into clients.

  1. Use images.
In our very impatient society, we’ve come to be graphic-reliant. We love images! It doesn’t even have to relate to what we’re reading, we just love to see the color.

So no matter the length of your content, be sure to include an image. Research points out that your posts are 80% more likely to be read if you include a colored image! (http://www.office.xerox.com/latest/COLFS-02UA.PDF) And if the image actually relates, your readership increased by a whopping 94% (https://blog.kissmetrics.com/visual-content-you-need-to-use-in-your-marketing-campaign/). It’s clear that images play an important role in boosting readership – now that you’ve got them on your page, your content will do the rest (right?!).

  1. Add Call to actions (CTA).
Our readers are smart. But we can’t always assume they know what we want them to do when they read or finish our articles and posts. Give them a line and pull them in. This is where you plant your CTA. It can be at the end, within the body of the text, or even both. You could even include one (or an additional one) on the side of your text. It’s important you don’t overwhelm your audience and come of salesy – no one likes that – so just provide it with some finesse and they’ll know what to do next. Here are the top things to look for in an effective CTA:

    1. Color – make it so.
    2. Placement – make in prominent and accessible.
    3. Be interesting – give ‘em a reason to click!

  1. Create a home base that keeps on giving.
If your website is dynamic and an engaging place to visit, your readers will have no trouble becoming loyal followers and clients. As the saying goes ‘People buy/do business from/with people they know, like, and trust.’ Thanks, Joel Comm, Bob Burg. Great quote, and true.

Giving on a continual basis shows you have valuable information to provide. And if you’re willing to provide that for free and help businesses grow, they’ll start wondering how much more are you going to help them excel when they actually pay you?

There you have it. A few new tools – or revisited ones – to add to your content toolkit. Go, and convert more readers into paying clients today!
